Well now, I need to update this more often lol, just wanna say I feel better after the last journal, however for this one I am not feeling fine because today's topic is something I am sure EVERYONE I know here has dealt with them before.

You know what really Grinds my Gears? Fanatical Slash Fans.

Now before anyone asks, its not that I don't like slash, well ok I don't, but I have plenty of friends who likes slash but they're open-minded, easy going, and creative. Such as my beloved , she's my angel X3. But you get the idea . I am open minded to anyone who likes slash whether it'd be yaoi (guys) or yuri (girls), what I cannot stand are those who are not only fanatical about slash that they slash almost about anything, but use is as a new way to express their over controlling hate onto others.

An example would be related to my last GmG about the Xion haters, there are a lot who hate the girl not because of her being new, but because they feel threatened by her for breaking up their favourite pair that they put together of Roxas and Axel. (I really feel sorry for those 2 ;-; ). But that's not where it started, the whole slash thing has been going on for years, ever since it first started in the Star Trek fandom with the pairing of Kirk and Spock (way to go people, your hormones became a topic at my university), and up to today with...well anything you can probably find on the internet. And of course it can't be stopped, trying to stop something as big as that is like trying to destroy the sun with a bullet, it can't be done. However, it doesn't excuse the nasty attitudes slash fans give towards others. And I don't want to sound sexist here, but from all I've seen, so far, all of the fanatical slash fans have been fangirls.

You all remember how in our society that there are those who are prejudiced towards those who are gay and yet gay people are just like you and me? Well, to the fangirls, its the other way around, when trying to reason with the fanatics that you don't like slash but still respect their choice to like it, they go all ape shit on you saying crap like "OMG YOU'RE IGNORANT! YOU HOMOPHOBE! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING YOU INTOLERANT ASS! YOU HATE GAYS! YOU'RE GOING TO HELL! HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLL!" And yet, they pair characters up that aren't even gay to begin with.

And if that's not bad enough, when they're trying to make statements about being open-minded, when other people tell them they don't like slash but are reasonable, the fanatics starts judging them and attacking them like they were homophobes, when ironically, it is the fans who are being prejudiced towards others who can tolerate slash. How fucking hypocritical is that?! O_< If you want to like slash and show that its ok to like it and accept people who are gay, don't go acting like a dick hole or you'll be no better than those who hate them to begin with. As well, don't try to play the homophobe card just as a way to rant and spread hate, that's just as bad as how Glenn Beck of FOX news uses the race card towards Obama. But that's a different story.

So, in conclusion, I still don't like slash, but it doesn't matter to me if my friends do cause I just like em for the way they are and I'll have no problem with anyone else who does. Just don't be a Grade A asshole about it just because not everyone can like it!
